If you are looking for a local venue for your meeting or family get-together, you have the choice of two locations.

Our village church, St Bartholomew's in The Street, is used as both a place of worship and as a Community Centre. The newly installed kitchen makes the church an ideal venue for meetings and gatherings and is available for hire. For details contact Rosemary Boswell on 01284 728199.

There is plenty of parking for visitors in the churchyard to the north of the church.

The church also hosts Coffee Mornings on the last Tuesday of the month from 10.30am until noon. There is a quiz, bring and buy stall, plus coffee or tea and biscuits and is open to everyone.

The Street Café, in the church, is run by church volunteers and is open every third Thursday of the month, from 11am until 2pm when lunches and snacks are available.

You can find links to details of services etc here.

Culford Village Hall (below) is almost on our doorstep and was built in 1914 by Earl Cadogan the then owner of the Culford Estate for the use of its residents. The estate was sold in 1934 and in 1936 the new owners, Lambert Brothers, conveyed the village hall and surrounding land to local trustees for the benefit of the inhabitants of Culford, Ingham, West Stow, Culford Heath and Wordwell.

Culford Village Hall

The Rector and Churchwardens of Culford, Ingham and West Stow, the headmaster of Culford School and 12 elected members make up the management committee.

The hall is ideal for functions and events, both for the community and private bookings. The hall is currently used for fitness and dance classes, other sports activities such as bowling and table tennis, children's activities including toddler groups and events organised by Ingham Social Club such as bingo and quiz evenings.

The main hall which has a stage and stage lighting facilities holds about 120 people and there is a licence for music and dancing events. There is a basic kitchen with a serving hatch to the main hall plus a water boiler for refreshments. There is ample parking available.

To book the hall, visit the website - www.culfordvillagehall.co.uk - check your chosen date with the online calendar then book via email - culfordvillagehall@gmail.com

Charges are £8 per hour for residents of Culford, Ingham, West Stow, Wordwell and Culford Heath; £15 per hour for non-residents. Electricity is free but the hall heaters are on three separate timer switches, located at the end opposite the stage. Tables and chairs are also available for hire, as is the car park.

We rely on volunteers to help with the running of the hall. We are always keen to hear from anyone who would like to help out in any way, whether that is to set up the hall for special events, serve refreshments at events, help with some odd jobs, caretaking, or joining the committee. If you would like to get involved please contact the village hall committee via email.
